What is Rank Radar?
Rank Radar is Data Dive's powerful keyword tracking tool that updates daily. With Rank Radar, you can leverage a potent blend of organic rank tracking and PPC data to achieve higher and faster rankings on Amazon. This tool helps you identify which keywords are driving visibility through organic ranking, see how PPC performance might be affecting organic ranking, and keep track of key events by adding Highlights and notes.
How to Start Tracking Keywords in Rank Radar:
There are two places in Data Dive you can create a Rank Radar from and start tracking a product's keywords.
Method 1: The top navigation menu in Data Dive
Step 1: From the top navigation menu in Data Dive, select 'Track Keywords'.
Step 2: Paste in the ASIN or the Amazon product listing link of the product you want to track.
Step 3a: If you have already created a dive for the product, select "Existing Niche" and select the corresponding niche. Choose the number of keywords want to start tracking, and click "Create Rank Radar".
Step 3b: If you have not created a dive for the product yet, select "New Niche". Choose the number of products you would like to create the dive with and select the number of keywords you would like to start tracking. The click "Create Rank Radar". Data Dive will create a new niche with the selected number of best competitors and track up to the number of keywords chosen.
Method 2: Rank Radar tool
Step 1: From the left navigation menu in Data Dive, select 'Rank Radar'. Then click the blue '+ Add a product to rank radar' button.
Step 2: You can then follow the same steps as above in the first method to create the new Rank Radar.
To see all of the info and keyword rankings of a tracked product, click the blue title of the product.
How to Pause Tracked Keywords:
To pause tracking a keyword, select the checkbox and then select 'Archive'.
How to Unpause Archived Keywords
To start tracking an archived keyword again, go to the Archive tab to see all paused keywords. Select the checkbox of the keywords you want to unpause and then select 'Start Tracking'.
The Rank Radar Pool Tab
The Pool is the place to discover search terms that you can start tracking with Rank Radar. Check back regularly as we update it with new keywords from Dives and your PPC reports. It now also includes PPC data, helping you evaluate untracked search terms with actionable insights. Use metrics like Sales, Units Sold, and Spend to identify untracked terms worth tracking. Optimize your campaigns by focusing on high-performing terms you’re already spending on.
To start tracking the keywords, click the check box of the keyword and click "Start Tracking".
SIS Report Aggregate
The SIS Sub-Aggregate Row combines tracked and untracked search term data from the SIS report (the Search Term Impression Share report) for a complete PPC performance overview. The upper value shows aggregated data for tracked search terms in the table, while the lower value represents total PPC data from the SIS report, covering all search terms, including those not tracked in Rank Radar
How to Add Your own Search Terms to Track in Rank Radar:
You can now add your own keywords (search terms) to be tracked in Rank Rank.
Step 1: Click "Add Search Terms"
Step 2: Input one or multiple search terms and click "Start Tracking".
How to Connect Your PPC Account to Rank Radar:
Connecting your PPC account to Rank Radar will allow you to see your PPC performance data alongside your organic rankings to gain valuable insights.
PPC data will only show for tracked keywords that you are advertising with Amazon PPC. Please allow some time for the PPC reports to be pulled and to populate in Rank Radar.
How to Add a Highlight in Rank Radar:
Use Highlights to tag keywords to watch closely during a period of time. They are useful to keep track of relevant keywords after doing changes in Amazon. Some examples of possible Highlights are: PPC Push, Added to Title, Important.
Step 1: Check the box of the keyword(s) you want to add the Highlight to and click the Highlight button.
Step 2: Name the tag and choose the color. If you would like, you can add an additional note and set a start date and end date.
Pro Tip: You don't need to set an end date, but if you do, it will add a colored box around the rankings going from the start date to the end date. You can also set the end date to some time the future.
Step 3: To edit a Highlight, click on the tag and then click the edit link.
How to Add a Note to a Day in Rank Radar:
Step 1: Click on name of the day you want to put the note on (Mon, Tues, Wed, etc.).
Step 2: Write the note and exit.
Step 3: Notes will show as blue circles. Hover over the blue circle to view the note and click the circle to edit the note. Pro Tip: Major holidays will automatically show as a green circle.
How to Search and Filter Keywords in Rank Radar:
Step 1: To search for keywords, type a word or phrase into the search bar.
Step 2: To filter, click on the '+ Add filters'.
Step 3: Choose from the filter options and click 'Add criteria'.
Step 4: To remove a filter, click on the 'x' on the filter tag. To remove all filters, click 'Clear all'. To save a filter for future use, click 'Save current filter'.
How to Set the Date Range:
Click on the date box and select the range of dates you would like to see.
Impr. Ranks and Org vs IR:
Impression Ranks (IR) tab: The numeric rank of your account-wide PPC impression share relative to all the other advertisers generating impressions on the same keyword. Examples: If you have an impression rank of 3 for a keyword, there are two other advertisers that are getting more PPC impressions for that keyword. If you are impression rank 1, you are getting the most PPC impressions for that keyword out of all advertisers.
Organic vs Impression Rank (Org vs IR) tab: The Org vs IR mode helps you understand how changes in your organic rankings affect impression ranks, and vice versa. Please note that for each keyword row, we show organic ranks at the top and impression ranks at the bottom.

Product Performance Section:
Organic Rank Averages: The average organic rank for all keywords you are actively tracking for the product.
Top-10 KWs: The number of keywords where the tracked product ranked organically in the top 10 (positions 1 thru 10).
Top-10 SV: The total search volume of the keywords where the tracked product ranked top 10.
Top-50 KWs: The number of keywords where the tracked product ranked organically in the top 50 (positions 1 thru 50).
Top-50 SV: The total search volume of the keywords where the tracked product ranked organically in the top 50.
Note: Data Dive takes the average position over the past 7 days in order to smooth out daily spikes.
Top-10 KWs: The number of keywords where the tracked product ranked organic in the top 10 (positions 1 - 10). Data Dive takes the average position over the past 7 days in order to smooth out daily spikes.
Top-10 SV: The total search volume of the keywords where the tracked product ranked top 10.
Gainers and Losers Section:
Here you can find which keywords or roots gained or lost, and by how much over the selected time frame (1 day, 7 days, or 30 days). You can choose to see the gain or loss of the organic rank position (Org), impressions rank (IR), or the keyword search volume.
Overview Graph:
Shows a graph of changes in the Organic Rank Averages, Top-10 KWs and Top-10 Search Volume over the selected time period. You can toggle on and off which you'd like to see.
BSR Graph:
Shows a graph of the BSR (Best Seller Rank) of each of the products in the dive over the selected time frame. You can toggle on and off which competitors you want to see in the graph by clicking 'Edit graph'. You can also choose which category BSR you want to see.
