Automated Review Requests lets Data Dive automatically send Amazon’s official Request a Review message for eligible orders, so you don’t have to request reviews manually one order at a time.
The feature uses Amazon’s own review request system. Data Dive does not send a custom email or message to the buyer.
What you need before getting started
Automated Review Requests requires an active Amazon connection in Data Dive.
Data Dive uses that connection to identify eligible orders and send Amazon’s official Request a Review message through Amazon’s API.
If the Amazon account is not connected, you’ll need to connect it before you can enable Automated Review Requests.
How to Set Up Automated Review Requests
Go to Product Catalog → Automated Reviews and click Set Up Review Requests.
1. Choose which products to include
You can enable requests for:
- All products currently in your account
- Only products I choose
Choosing All products applies to your current products only. New products added later are not automatically included.
You can update your selected products later if needed.
2. Choose when to send the request
Amazon allows review requests between 5 and 30 days after delivery.
You can choose:
- As soon as it’s eligible – Data Dive sends the request at the earliest time Amazon allows.
- Wait a set number of days – Choose a specific number of days after delivery, from 5 to 30.
Data Dive counts from the delivery date, not the order date.
3. Turn on Rating Change Alerts
You can optionally enable Rating change alerts.
When enabled, Data Dive alerts you when the star rating of a product using Automated Review Requests changes by 0.1 or more.
Once your settings are ready, click Turn On.
Which Orders Are Skipped?
Before sending anything, Data Dive checks whether Amazon still considers the order eligible.
Requests are skipped for:
- Refunded, returned, or cancelled orders
- Orders that have already received a Request a Review
- Orders outside Amazon’s 5–30 day eligibility window
Amazon also enforces these rules on its side.
💡 If you already clicked Request a Review manually in Seller Central for an order, Data Dive will not send another request for that same order.
Will Customers Receive Duplicate Review Requests?
No duplicate Request a Review message is sent for the same order.
Before each request, Data Dive checks with Amazon to confirm that the order can still receive one. Data Dive also keeps a record of orders that have already been processed.
Amazon’s normal automated customer emails are separate from the seller-initiated Request a Review feature. Amazon allows sellers to send one Request a Review per eligible order in addition to those standard system emails.
The restriction applies per order, not per product. A review request sent for one order does not prevent requests from being sent for other eligible orders of the same product.
What Message Does the Customer Receive?
The message is Amazon’s standard Request a Review communication.
It:
- Requests a product review and seller feedback
- Is translated into the buyer’s language by Amazon
- Cannot be edited
- Cannot be branded
- Cannot be A/B tested
Data Dive simply automates the sending of Amazon’s official request through Amazon’s API.
Daily Request Limits
Amazon applies a rate limit of approximately 4,300 requests per day per account.
If your eligible orders exceed that limit, the remaining requests roll over to the following day. They are not discarded.
Tracking Automated Review Requests
The Automated Reviews dashboard shows activity for the selected date range, including:
- Requests Sent
- New Reviews Gained
- Eligible Orders
- Skipped
- A chart comparing requests sent with new reviews
This gives you one place to monitor the review request activity across the products you have enabled.
Why Use Automated Review Requests?
Amazon already sends its own general post-purchase communications, but Request a Review is a separate seller-initiated Amazon message.
Without automation, you would need to open orders individually in Seller Central and request the review yourself within Amazon’s eligibility window.
Automated Review Requests handles that process for you across your selected products while checking each order for eligibility before sending.
