Overview
Indexing Alerts notify you when a product is no longer indexed on Amazon search results.
If a listing is not indexed, it will not appear for relevant keywords. This results in zero impressions, zero clicks, and lost revenue until the issue is resolved.
Data Dive automatically monitors your catalog and flags these issues so you can take action quickly.
Where to Find Indexing Alerts
Indexing Alerts are located in the Alerts tab in your Data Dive sidebar.
In the Alerts dashboard, you can:
- Filter by time range (7, 14, or 30 days)
- Search by product
- Filter by marketplace or Amazon connection
Each alert includes:
- Date detected
- ASIN
- Product title
- Product image
This allows you to quickly identify and prioritize affected listings.
How Indexing Alerts Work
When a product drops out of Amazon’s index, Data Dive generates an alert automatically.
Click View Details on any alert to see:
- Product context (ASIN, title, image)
- Likely causes of the issue
- Recommended next steps
This helps you diagnose and resolve the issue without guesswork.

Common Causes of Indexing Issues
Indexing loss is typically caused by one of the following:
- Backend search term errors or restricted keywords
- Category or browse node changes
- Listing suppression or policy violations
- Variation (parent-child) issues
- Inventory or fulfillment-related problems
How to Resolve an Indexing Alert
Follow these steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
- Open the product in Seller Central
- Review backend keywords and recent changes
- Confirm category and variation structure
- Check inventory and fulfillment status
- Resolve any suppression or policy warnings
Each alert also includes guidance to help you identify the most likely cause.
How to Enable Indexing Alerts
Indexing Alerts are available to all Data Dive users.
To start receiving alerts:
- Connect your Amazon Seller account in Data Dive
- Enable Rank Radar for your products
- Open the Alerts tab
Alerts will appear automatically once Rank Radar is active.
Why Indexing Alerts Matter
Amazon does not notify you when a listing loses indexing.
Without monitoring:
- Listings can remain invisible for extended periods
- Organic rankings decline
- Competitors capture your traffic
Indexing Alerts provide early visibility so you can resolve issues before they impact performance.
Summary
Indexing Alerts help you:
- Detect indexing issues early
- Understand the root cause
- Take action quickly
This reduces downtime and protects your revenue.
