Connecting Amazon to Data Dive
Connecting your Amazon account lets Data Dive work with your own products, orders, listings, advertising data, and Amazon reports.
Data Dive supports three Amazon connections:
- Seller Account – Products, listings, orders, sales, inventory, and other Seller Central data
- Ads Account – PPC campaigns and advertising performance data
- SIS Report – Search Term Impression Share data, when available
Note: Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) accounts are not currently supported.
What Each Connection Unlocks
Seller Account
The Seller Account connection powers features that depend on your own Amazon catalog and Seller Central data, including:
-
Product Catalog
- Overview
- Sales
- Inventory
- Listing Changes
- Automated Review Requests
- Listing Publisher
- Seller-related reports and account data
For example, Automated Review Requests needs this connection to identify eligible orders and send Amazon’s official Request a Review message.
Ads Account
The Ads connection powers advertising-related features such as:
- Ad Campaigns
- PPC Audit
- PPC tools and reporting
- PPC data in Rank Radar
- Blind Spend
Organic Rank Radar tracking can still work without an Ads connection, but PPC-specific data will not be available.
SIS Report
SIS adds Search Term Impression Share data where Amazon makes it available.
This data can appear in tools such as Rank Radar alongside organic and PPC metrics.
What Can I Use Without Connecting Amazon?
Many Data Dive research tools do not require Seller Central.
You can still create and analyze Niches, work with the Master Keyword List, review competitors, and use other research workflows without connecting Amazon.
A connection becomes necessary when Data Dive needs access to information from your own Amazon business, such as your:
- Products
- Orders
- Sales
- Inventory
- Advertising campaigns
- Live listings
- Review-request eligibility
A simple rule of thumb:
Market research usually does not require an Amazon connection. Features that work with your own Amazon account usually do.
How to Connect Your Amazon Account
Go to Your Account → Amazon, then click + New Amazon Connection.
You can also open the Amazon Connections page directly:
https://2.datadive.tools/settings/amazon-connections
1. Select Your Marketplace
Choose the Amazon marketplace you want to connect, such as US, CA, or UK.
Make sure it matches the Seller Central account you intend to authorize.
2. Authorize the Seller Account
Log in to Amazon and approve the requested permissions.
If you manage multiple accounts, make sure you're logged into the correct Seller Central account before continuing.
3. Connect the Ads Account
Authorize your Amazon Ads account if you want to use PPC-related features.
Seller and Ads connections are separate, so one can be connected while the other is not.
4. Connect SIS, If Available
If Amazon provides SIS data for your account, complete the SIS setup as well.
SIS is optional and is not required for basic Seller Account functionality.
After Connecting
Data Dive will begin syncing the available Amazon data.
Depending on what you've connected:
- Seller Account data populates Product Catalog and seller-related features
- Ads Account data populates PPC tools and advertising metrics
- SIS adds Search Term Impression Share data where available
Some reports may take time to populate after the initial connection.
You can return to Your Account → Amazon at any time to check the status of each connection.
Seller Central account limits
- Starter: 1 Seller Central account
- Standard: Up to 10 Seller Central accounts, with no overlapping marketplaces
- Enterprise: Up to 200 Seller Central accounts, with no overlapping marketplaces
Troubleshooting
My products are not appearing
Check that the correct Seller Account and marketplace are connected under Your Account → Amazon.
PPC data is missing
Confirm that the correct Ads Account is connected.
Also allow time for Amazon advertising reports to sync. Search terms without advertising activity may not have PPC data to display.
SIS is missing or fails to connect
SIS availability depends on Amazon and may vary by account or marketplace.
If the setup uses the Data Dive Chrome extension, make sure:
- The extension is up to date and you're signed in to Data Dive and Amazon
- You're logged into the correct Amazon account with the extension installed
- The Seller Central session matches the account you're connecting in Data Dive
I manage multiple Amazon accounts
Before authorizing a connection, confirm you're logged into the intended:
- Data Dive account
- Seller Central account
- Amazon Ads account
Connecting the wrong Amazon session can link the wrong seller or advertising profile.
